Should we stop paying the Bank of England interest payments on Commercial Bank deposits?
The Bank of England charges the UK Gov £35bn a year in interest on money they hold on behalf of commercial banks to help them in the event of another banking crisis. The European Central Bank (ECB) has already stopped paying interest on deposits it holds for the same purpose. Is it time we stopped this as well & used the money to fund public services.

As the cost of a TV licence rises to £169.50 is it time to scrap the BBC Licence fee
Regardless whether you watch the BBC or listen to the BBC if you have a TV in house home you have to pay for the BBC through a mandatory licence fee. The fee has now risen to £169.50 pa that's £14.12 per month. That's more than Netflix or Disney+ is now the time to make the BBC a voluntary subscription service in line with the broader market and other providers?
