Is the act helping, do you think it’s a good thing or a bad thing – vote yes for good, no for bad!
The legislative groundwork for the Hate Crime and Public Order Act was laid through rigorous debates, public consultations, and a thorough legislative process.
The Act’s passage was not without controversy, as it sought to tread the fine line between protecting individuals from hate crimes and preserving freedom of speech.

It's bad. It will encourage false and petty complaints against neighbours and other individuals.

Shuts down the majority to protect minorities. I wonder what minorities that would be.

This "Bill" makes an absolute fool of Scotland. We are already being turned into a Nanny State and this piece of nonsense is just the logical progression.

The bill is being used for all the wrong reasons. People are using it to settle scores unjustifiably causing distress to innocent people. It's being used to cause more hatred. It is not needed given there are already laws protecting the people that come under protected characteristics. It's consuming police time. It's taking away people's freedom of speech.
